Finally, people who use Twitter's messaging service will pleasantly find out that your direct messages are (from today) no longer have a limit of 140 characters.
Twitter announced this change today and that the modification will begin to both Android and iOS respectively (no Windows Phone).
We first heard about it quite a while ago, which was announced by Twitter themselves. In June Twitter said the limit would increase from 140 characters to 10,000, so not necessarily unlimited
However, the usual Tweets will unfortunately continue to have a 140 character limit. The changes will also not affect direct messages sent via SMS.
The rollout for this change starts today, but it will not come into affect worldwide for another few weeks.
