The newer, improved and faster Adreno 530 GPU powering the upcoming Snapdragon 820 mobile chipset was unveiled at SIGGRAPH 2015 this week. The company also confirmed that
devices with the 820 chipset will be available beginning in the first half of 2016. This confirms that the new nexus devices expected this fall will not be running this new chip unless they release them next year, which is unlikely.

The new Adreno 530 was described with a short presentation whilst keeping the 820 chipset as a whole ambiguous. As said earlier in the article, the most impressive improvements was a 40% increase in speed in comparison to the Adreno 430 and a 40% decrease in power consumption which should definitly improve batter. Of course, these do not show real word improvements or tests which will have to be tested. They claim that some are likely due to the all-new GPU power manager but most of the improvements come from the smaller FinFET process being used on the 820 chipset.

Qualcomm claims the most up to date Adreno is a noteworthy update contrasted with the 400 arrangement chips, with upgrades in all cases shown on the presentation and also how the GPU has a greater capacity to work with the CPU in more significant ways. The capacity of the new Spectra picture signal processor (just in the Adreno 530) and related programming advances were a key point amid Qualcomm's presentation, with the organization asserting various upgrades to picture preparing over different fronts.

Upgraded noise reduction prepared for the most up to date era of versatile picture sensors (which the 820 can bolster at up to 25MP or double 13MP sensors at the same time), "crisscross" feature HDR catch support, more smart remedy of lens and sensor abnormalities, and expanded self-adjust execution are every single potential advantage. Should telephone OEMs decide to exploit them, obviously.

The Adreno 530 suppoerts all of the follwing standards: Miracast 4K30, HDMI 2.0 at 4K60, the new Vulkan graphics API slated for support in Android, OpenGL ES 3.1, and Open CL 2.0.
