Samsung reveals keyboard cover for Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+

Samsung's newest idea was shown off yesterday at their unpacked event showcasing their new phones. However, many were not expecting this newly announced keyboard cover for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5 to be actually real. This device is crazy wierd and not pretty at all. Samsung said that it's a case that has a snap-on physical keyboard that would interact with the screen's lower half.

The back part of the keyboard cover looks like a normal case you could buy, but the main difference is that there are two small notches where the keyboard section clips on when you need it. It seems to be like a modular accessory. Looking at this product, it is safe to assume that it won't require some sort of power source to make it work as all it does is push touch sensitive buttons onto a screen, but we don't know for sure.

The keyboard cover was created with Samsungs own virtual keyboard app in mind, which presumes you will have to use that keyboard to make this accessory work. When attached the home button will somehow recognise the keyboard cover is on and changes the current UI into a special input mode. It will also move the UI above the keyboard.

The accessory will retail at around $60-80 when it supposedly launches in a few weeks. It is expected that a smaller version of this will be coming for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge as well. However, I don't see this being too popular, unless your up for some Blackberry nostalgia.
